Hi! I’m Melissa Flesher a registered nurse and a certified breastfeeding counselor. I became a mom in the summer of 2019 and quickly discovered that breastfeeding was not as natural and easy as I had expected. In those first few weeks postpartum, I had many appointments with lactation specialists, pediatric dentists, ENTs and even baby masseuses before I could honestly say that breastfeeding was pain-free and felt right. Since then, I have been blessed with two more babies and I have utilized the expertise and support from lactation specialists to enhance our breastfeeding experience which each newborn. Having been a nurse for 15 years, I was drawn into this line of work that has helped me so immensely. Every lactation consultant that I’ve worked with has been such an angel and has made such a lasting impact on my overall breastfeeding experience. I knew that I wanted to make such an impact on other moms in my community.
